History

The seeds of Blake Enloe's business were planted when he mowed his first yard at age 10.

"That's all I ever did when I was a kid," he said. "I bought my first mower when I was 13."

At age 16, he bought his first truck. The following year, he bought a snowplow for the truck and continued offering lawn-care services throughout his school years.

In March 2005, he started Legacy Lawn and Landscape, which was renamed

Legacy Corporation in 2009.

What started out as a one man company now employs over 20 people, including laborers, operators, truck drivers, mechanics, office staff, estimators and project managers.

Kyle Rahe is our Estimator/Project Manager.  He graduated from Iowa State University with a degree in Construction Engineering.   Kyle is a construction management professional with 15 years experience in large ($25 million to $110 million) projects.  Kyle states that, "One of the best feelings in the world is stepping back to soak up the sense of accomplishment and pride".

Mike Ray is our Project Manager/Corporate Safety Manager and Environmental Manager.  Mike has over 35 years of experience in the construction industry.  He is knowledgeable in all facets of construction from residential to commercial and heavy and highway.  He has over 150 hours of safety training and is a certified HAZMAT supervisor  as well as Asbestos Abatement Manager and Inspector certified.

Although Legacy Corporation no longer provides lawn care services, the company still provides snow plowing as well as site utilities, grading and excavating, land clearing, tree grinding and flood control structures along with other marine work.

Our mission is to provide quality workmanship for our customers and we strive to establish lasting relationships by exceeding their expectations and gaining their trust through exceptional performance by every member of our construction team.

Legacy Corporation has an open door policy and takes employee concerns and problems seriously. The company values each employee and strives to provide a positive work experience. Employees are encouraged to bring any workplace concerns or problems they might have or know about to their supervisor or some other member of management.

A company is only as strong as its executive leadership and ours is exceptional.  Blake Enloe, owner of Legacy Corporation has worked his way to the top.  He started as a young boy with a lawn care company and turned it into a successful corporation.  Blake is a hands on person and you'll likely find him working in the field as opposed to behind a desk.

One piece of advice he lives by is something his great-grandfather told his dad -- it isn't about what you know, it's who you know.  "My goal in life has been to know as many people as I can".  "Networking is a huge key to being in business."
